A Junk Food Tax?

When I think about what we've done to mitigate the effect of our love for junk food in America (praise corporations for using less salt or force them to post menus that everyone can ignore), Danish junk food taxes sound like a great idea. However, such a policy change would require a more broadly applied political effort to convince American voters that increased tax revenue is not itself a moral affliction and can be leveraged to address public health concerns.
